Mai come ai nostri giorni l'umanita` si e` trovata ad avere il proprio asse di equilibrio orientato verso il futuro tanto decisamente. I progressi in ogni campo della scienza e della tecnica sono cosi` numerosi e rapidi che, quasi, saremmo portati a dire invece, di non essere noi a muovere alla conquista del futuro, ma il futuro a stringenci d'assedio.

Io sottoscritto Direttore dell'Istuto Araldico Coccia (Centro Ricerche Storico Araldiche Genealogiche) generente in Firenze (Italia) Borgo Santa Croce n.6 attesto che l'Arma a colori qui sopra riprodotta e` della Casata Pietromartire ed e` conforme all'originale che trovasi riportato nell'opera manoscritta Blasonario di Famiglie Illustri Italiane volume II numero 1774. Cognome Pietromartire, derivante dal nome Pietro che poteva essere capostipite della famiglia o San Pietro martire, veronese. Egli nacque a Verona nel 1203, in una famiglia di fede manichea. Pietro abbraccio` la fede domenicana: l'anno 1221. A Firenze, fondo` la societa` dei Capitani di Santa Maria, per la difesa materiale dei cattoligi. Il pontefice Gregorio IX nel 1232 lo elesse inquisitore della Lombardia nel quale ufficio dimostro` tanto zelo che si attiro` l'odio piu` implacabile degli avversari, tanto da spingerli a congiurare contro di lui. Conosciuta la strada ch'egli avrebbe percoso da milano a Como, essi gli tesero un agguato (ambush) uccidendolo, il 6 aprile 1252, giovedi santo, a Barlassina, presso Milano. L'anno successivo egli fu canonizzato dal papa Innocenzo IV. Ecco quindi spiegato nel suo significato e classificato esattamente il nostro cognome Pietromartire. La storia dei Pietromartire in terra d'Abruzzo. E` questa terra dalle antichissime tradizioni che storicamente viene indicata come culla della stirpe dei Pietromartire. Nel 1573 nasceva a Campobasso Giuliano Pietromartire, che si inquadra nella storia della nostra Casata, in quanto dedico` la sua vita allo studio delle discipline giuridiche, divenenendo famoso giureconsulto, professione che lo porto` ad affrontare viaggi di studio lungo tutta la penisola. Allo stesso ramo abruzzese appartenne anche Antonio Pietromartire, che e` rimasto famoso agli onori delle cronache per aver dedicato la vita alla arte militare: si ha notizia di lui in un manoscritto anonimo del 600 conservato presso l'Archivio di Stato di l'Aquila, dove si dice che - non di meno Egli fu degli altri cavalieri che non la valentia dell'arme strenuamente difesero la citta`. - per amor di patria e non per il soldo - a mettere rependaglio la propria vita per la salvezza della sua citta`. : appartenuti a questo rame, si sono tutti distinti per le loro attivita` in campo acclesiastico e religioso, e fu lui che, nato nella provincia di Campobasso, Giovanni Battista Pietromartire, il teologo e filosofo, visse a Roma dove coltivo` con profitto ed amplio` con profonda dottrina le meditazioni terrene e soprannaturali che costituivano la vita per il suo spirito. Nel secolo XVIII, Fippo Pietromartire si dedico` alla vita ecclesiastica e raggiunse uno dei piu` alti gradi di tale carriera, arrivando nel 1735 ad avere la nonima a Vescovo. Troviamo ora uno importantissimo, vissuto a cavaliere tra 700 e l'800. Si tratta di Martino Pietromartire, che nel 1799 era Abate dei Camaldonesi. L'Abate e` il capo naturale del monastero da lui fondato. Quello di Abate e` dunque ora, e cosi ai tempi del nostro Martino, nome d'ufficio, e segno di onore e dignita` maggiore nella chiesa. Abati vengono dopo i Vascovi. Si conclude cosi` la parte storica riguardante le geste compiuto in antico dai nostri predecessori, e possiamo quindi occuparci ora del ramo dei Pietromartire fiorito a Tocco Casauria, in terra d'Abruzzo, il ramo cioe` che si interessa direttamente, riguardo al quale siamo saliti a ritroso per quasi duecentcinquanta anni! Tocco da Casauria, comune della provincia di Pescara, sorge ad un'altitudine di356 metri sul livello del mare, sopra un contrafforte tra le valli del Pescara e dell'Arollo. La famosa abbazia di San Clemente a Casauria, fondata nell'871 dall'imperatore Ludovico II e presto divenuta potentissima: davastata una prima volta dai Saraceni nel 920. Nel secolo XII vi fu redatto il Chronicon Casauriense, importante documente publicato dal Muratori ed attualmente conservato a Parigi. In questa terra dunque ha proceduto il nostro lavoro di ricerca. Al 1731, anno in cui nasceva ORAZIO PIETROMARTIRE, sappiamo che si uni in matrimonio con CARMINA, di cui non ci e` noto il cognome,e che si spense (died) a Tocco da Casauria il 1 dicembre 1815. Dal matrimonio di ORAZIO PIETROMARTIRE con CARMINA vide a luce (born) a Tocco nel 1773 BARTOLOMEO PIETROMARTIRE, loro unico (only) figlio. BARTOLOMEO PIETROMARTIRE, sua sposa fu ROSARIA PINTO, nata (born) nel 1777. Le loro nozze furono allietate dalla nascita (born) di ANTONIO PIETROMARTIRE, che venne al mondo a Tocco da Casauria il 12 dicembre 1812. Egli fu colpito da una disgrazia. Ha lasciato un segno indelebile per la vita intere: suo padre BARTOLOMEO si spense (died) a Tocco il 26 luglio 1821, lascianto ROSARIA e il piccolo ANTONIO. Anche Antonio subi questo destino, tanto che a soli ventidue anni capi` di essere gia preparato a compiere un passo tanto importante come il matrimonio. IL 2 gennaio 1834 egli sposo` nel paese, ANNA MARIA CAIOLFA, che aveva tre anni piu` di lui, essendo nata nel 1809 da VINCENZO CAIOLFA e MARGHERITA DI MASSIMO. Dopo poco piu` di un anno, l'8 ottobre 1835, la nascita di BARTOLOMEO (1835+), ( EUSTACHIO(1835+), DOMENICA(1835+) PIETROMARTIRE. BARTOLOMEO (1835+) PIETROMARTIRE scelse la compagia della sua vita nel paese degli Avi, Tocco: fu ANNA SANTA TORO, figlia di VINCENZO e di SPINALDA Di GIULIO. A Tocco da Casauria essi videro il loro sogno d'amore (married) il 9 gennaio 1862 Nasce: ANTONIO, LUCIA, MARIETTA, PASQUALE - Anita Petermark's father - born: 6 marzo 1878 PIETROMARTIRE.

Pietromartire last name, deriving from the name Peter who could be prototype of the family or Saint Peter to martire, veronese. He was born in Verona in 1203, in a family of faith. That left him w/ a sign for life: his father BARTOLOMEO died at Tocco 26 July 1821. Antonio prepared to complete an important step. 2 January 1834 he married, ANNA MARIA CAIOLFA, she was three years older, born in 1809 from VINCENZO CAIOLFA and MARGHERITA DI MASSIMO. After a year, 8 October 1835, the birth of BARTOLOMEO (1835+), (EUSTACHIO(1835+), DOMENICA(1835+) PIETROMARTIRE. BARTOLOMEO (1835+) PIETROMARTIRE born in Tocco.
